The two pictures above show the two sides of a small sample of terbium metal. The sample has a weight of 0.65 grams. Terbium is a silvery metal with a somewhat yellowish tinge. One side of the sample is freshly cut and still shows the metallic lustre. The other side was cut a longer time ago and is tarnished and has a dark color, still with a yellowish tinge.
