Niobium is a rather inert metal with a silvery/grey appearance. The sample, shown here is approximately 3.5 grams of niobium metal of high purity, better than 99.95%.

Below, the same sample of niobium is shown, together with small sheets of 99.8% niobium. The total weight of all the sheets is approximately 15 gram.
