Manganous ions are very light pink. This picture actually shows how light the color of these ions is. The solid looks white, only in the shadow areas, a faint pink color can be observed. When you see this compound, then you understand that in practical situations solutions of manganese (II) salts are colorless, despite the fact that these are called light pink in many textbooks.
