This is a sample of approximately 30 grams of beryllium, the large pellet having a diameter of almost 4 cm and the smaller ones having a diameter of approximately 15 mm. The metal is fairly dark grey with a dull shine. When you have these pieces of metal in your hand, then you feel how remarkably light these pieces are.
