Irregularly shaped pieces of elemental antimony. This is a sample of very pure antimony with a purity of approximately 99.999%. The amount shown here is 30 grams.

The element really looks like a metal, but chemically it can best be considered a semi-metal, with borderline properties. The following picture shows a larger sample of almost 100 grams of antimony, which is very shiny (hard to capture in a picture). This large sample is shown, together with some of the granules from the sample above. The large chunk of antimony is very brittle. Its purity is approximately 99.7%
